Our Sustainability Vision and Life Commitment
While making a difference globally with our eco-friendly approach, we continue our operations with sustainable environmental policies. Over the past 15 years, we’ve reduced carbon emissions by 52.7%, water usage by 51%, and increased our recycling rate to 93%. We produce 98.7% of our catalog pages from recycled materials, and 50% of our energy comes from sustainable sources. Our sustainability goals for 2025 include a 5% reduction in carbon emissions and water usage, as well as achieving a 95% rate in zero-waste and recycling.
Within our Sustainability Vision and Life Commitment, we aim to reduce carbon emissions to zero by 2030. We plan to monitor emissions across our entire value chain—from raw material production to packaging waste—while fully adhering to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity to prevent biodiversity loss. We also aim to contribute to protecting 3 million hectares of the Amazon rainforest by 2030.
Going beyond the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, by 2023 we pledge to increase the proportion of women in leadership roles to 50%, ensure equal pay across the workforce, guarantee at least minimum wages or higher, improve profit margins, health, and education for over 6 million advisors and representatives, and promote our model as a reliable income source for 35,000 families. We also pledge to increase donation and aid to causes like breast cancer and domestic violence by 20%, reaching USD 600 million.
With an aim for a zero-waste lifestyle protecting natural resources and the environment, Natura & Co will transition to a circular economy model by 2030—ensuring 100% of packaging is reusable, recyclable, or fully biodegradable. This includes a 20% reduction in packaging materials and using 50% recycled content in plastic products. Natura & Co is investing USD 100 million to renew its formulas to be 95% renewable and biodegradable by 2030.

We Love Animals!
Respect for animal welfare is central to Avon’s product safety philosophy, and none of our products sold anywhere in the world are tested on animals.
We believe animal testing is unnecessary. At the beginning of 2020, we ended all animal testing required by regulations in China, ensuring that all our products and ingredients worldwide are cruelty‑free. We remain committed to meeting customer needs while upholding animal welfare, product safety standards, and legal requirements. We prove the safety of our products through rigorous, non‑animal testing methods, including computer modeling and in vitro tests.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) included us in the list of companies “Working for Regulatory Change.” This means we are part of a group recognized for ongoing commitments to promote and legalize non‑animal testing methods. We also continue collaborating with Humane Society International (HSI), supporting the Fund for Replacement of Animals in Medical Experiments (FRAME), and the Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS), which develops ethical alternatives to animal testing.
